Food for thought.

The Review

You find yourself getting fatter by the day. You have tried every diet but nothing seems to work. As much as you would love to get to gym, your day is jam packed with activities. Your work drawer is filled with snacks, from packs of potato crisps, to sweets and biscuits. As a carbohydrate junkie, you have tried every diet, but you keep returning to old patterns of behaviour. At times your garbage disposal unit has a healthier diet than you.

When you walk through supermarkets you look for products labelled "DIET" and or "FAT FREE" , but you know in many cases unhealthy sugar has been replaced with sodium. Reading the newspapers you are aware of the differences between saturated and unsaturated fats, but one day the avocado is good for you, the next it is not. Afraid that salads will be labelled as fattening you don't know where to turn and can't help but wonder how the biblical Eve was tempted by an apple and not a chocolate.

You have tried liquid diets but they don't seem to help, most taste like flavoured saw-dust. You desperately want to get your weight under control, wrestling your sense of right and wrong is the only exercise you get.

Confused by diet pills and thermogenics, you know that heat will increase metabolic stimulation, but you don't want to become dose dependent to the degree that heat causes death. Manufacturers make so many  false claims. You are bombarded with adverts on television from caffeine pills to ephedrine even though ephedra was banned by the FDA.

As a result of obesity, the government is involved in media hysteria!
